At the start of the year, I introduced a Product of the Month feature to the Amy Maclean Podiatry Clinics; this means at the start of each month I introduce a product that I use frequently in clinic on my patients and even at home on myself!
There’s a video that goes out on the Amy Maclean Podiatry social media platforms at the start of each month telling you about the product, how to use it and why it’s pretty amazing; but I thought it would be worth it to do a round-up post on the blog every few months to make it easier for you all to access the product list.
You know already that I only use products in clinic that I have used on myself and that I thoroughly love – this means that everything I talk to you about really is a great product to incorporate into your daily or weekly feet MOT sessions. Because, we do those right?!
So, what’s been product of the month in the Amy Maclean Podiatry clinic since the start of the year?
January
The foot file I use in clinic is curved in shape to be able to easily access the heel of your foot. This little gem of a product is ideal for helping keep dry skin at bay – use before a bath or shower and on dry skin.
February
Flexitol Skin Balm is only available from a professional foot care expert, like a podiatrist, or prescription from a GP. This balm is suitable for daily use and is non-greasy and easily absorbed, helping to protect, restore and maintain your feet.
March
Prende Oil, this oil is packed with vitamins and essential oils; it also smells amazing! A tiny amount will be enough for both feet and hands too; it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave an oil residue on the skin and also acts as an antiseptic.
April
Dr.’s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish hydration nail treatment! Likely, this product doesn’t need much introduction as it is a clinic staple. Colourless and suitable for anyone, this product is packed full of vitamins and tea tree oil and ideal for treating dry, brittle, fungal and discoloured nails.
May
Bamboo socks. Another #amymacpod clinic staple and a firm favourite with me! So, why bamboo socks? They are naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, soft and gentle fabric, keeps feet warm in winter and cool in summer, seamless for added comfort and aids circulatory problems. Magic socks right?!
All products are available in the Westhill clinic and Aberdeen Sports Village. Any questions? Just get in touch. #amymacpod #productofthemonth
